The Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation Maxim Sokolov said today that work will begin in 2020 to expand the Central Ring Road in the Moscow Region to 6-8 lanes. The head of department made the corresponding statement at a meeting on the development of the Moscow transport hub.
Sokolov noted that today the land allotment zone for the Central Ring Road project has already been made, taking into account the prospects for expansion.
“By 2018, the central ring should become a modern highway that is in demand both for participants in economic activity and for citizens,” Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the same meeting.
