British Foreign Secretary William Hague, in a telephone conversation with his Egyptian counterpart Nabil Fahmy, condemned acts of violence by the government and demonstrators occurring in the Arab state during protests, according to a statement on the British Foreign Office website.

Haig called the government's actions to disperse the demonstrators disproportionate, and the actions of the demonstrators violent. The minister also noted that attacks on mosques and churches are unacceptable, and that churches must be protected.

As Haig's press secretary noted in the message, the minister called on his Egyptian counterpart to put an end to the violence and return to the negotiating table.

Clashes between supporters of ousted President Mohammed Morsi and Egyptian security forces have continued in Cairo and other cities for several days. As a result of the bloody protests, about 800 people died.

Egyptian Prime Minister Hazem al-Beblawi said on Saturday that the Muslim Brotherhood could be dissolved and suggested that the Minister of Social Affairs, responsible for licensing non-governmental organizations, should do so.

On Saturday night, the military stormed the Al-Fatah mosque in the capital's Ramses Square. It sheltered hundreds of Morsi supporters, as well as foreign tourists. The assault resulted in a new wave of unrest and clashes between demonstrators and police. In total, about 90 people died. The bodies of those killed on both sides of the conflict were piled in the mosque.

On Thursday, the Russian Foreign Ministry recommended that Russian citizens refrain from traveling to Egypt . Rospotrebnadzor reported that Russian tourists currently in Egypt have the right to be evacuated from the country with payment for transportation and accommodation services. According to Rostourism, there are now about 50 thousand Russian tourists in Egypt.
