Moscow group Race to Space , whose work we have been following not the first year , finally recorded the debut album of the English-speaking “Kosmotniki” and is ready to present it to the listener. They decided to start with the song " Endless Dream ”, on which one of the members of the group, actor Peter Fedorov (“ Stalingrad ”,“ Inhabited Island ”,“ Gop-Stop ”), was shot a romantic video clip on an eight-millionth film.
Comments the group members - Peter Fedorov and Vadim Maevsky.
- Please tell us about the video: why is this song, why such a video sequence - what was the director's idea?
Peter Fedorov: "Endless Dream" is one of the very first tracks of Race to Space . Already by this right, the composition clearly deserved a film adaptation. In addition, the duration of the track charmingly does not claim to be the viewer’s perseverance, which makes viewing quite real.
As for the video sector, I really wanted to combine Moscow romance with a fantasy environment based on our reality, Moscow can still be very beautiful. The idea is completely borrowed from the associative perception of the composition itself - immersion in sleep, elusive reality, love.
-What attracted you to the shooting on an 8-mm camera-is this nostalgia? What were the difficulties in the process of filming?
Fedorov: 8 mm is a long passion, but, unfortunately, all the processes of manifestation and scanning still have to be carried out in Europe. Being a long -standing fan of the 8 S Uper format, I am a convinced film - only the film can convey the right mood and energy. From the album, several more tracks will be filmed in this aesthetics. The difficulties in working with the film are primarily associated with restrictions and it is highly likely to pass everything - especially if you do everything yourself. I had to learn how to use an exhibiter and ND filters.
- Peter, you are better known as an actor. And what are your directorial ambitions-are there any projects in the development except Race to Space clips?
Fedorov: Directory is an exciting thing, especially in our time, when, in fact, a director can be anyone, taking any camera or simply turning on the camera on the phone. True, as practice shows, this is not enough, you still need to work hard. I want to work. And besides the Race to Space clips, you also need a full meter of Race to Space , the Race to Space series, although, in my opinion, was there something already? In any case, the idea of a musical picture is cool. This is just in development.

Vadim Maevsky: After our performance, having come to the dressing room, we found that we left a note with words of gratitude and a bottle of champagne. At first, we thought that this was a gesture of politeness on their part, but then we learned that the soloist Romi Croft listened to our performance behind the scenes, so we really liked it, which was nice.
- The traditional question: what are your further creative plans? Is there any idea to remove a 3D videolip-a la “Stalingrad 3 D ” (joke)?
Fedorov: Thanks for the cool thought-3D video may well suit us, especially if you use angaglifier technology, but watch without glasses. Very fashionable effects are obtained. By the way, a new trending theme is competently broken chambers with Anon M Ark , thanks to the cunning intervention, M ARK gives something surprisingly transcendental. Although it remains an overwhelming number.
Maevsky: There are many plans! This summer, we went to Berlin with the whole composition, to the legendary Trixx studio, where our debut LP was recorded and brought in a month. The sound producers of the album were Klaus Knapp and Tim Knapp. They brought German quality and a sense of proportion to our music. As a result, we were very pleased with the result and hope to share it with everyone in the near future.
At the moment, we are negotiating with several labels regarding the release of the album and hope to release it until the New Year. Meanwhile, in September, our first official release is released - the single "Baikal" . In addition to the original track, it will include remixes made by Tripswitch (UK) , Benji Vaughan (UK) , Electrosoul System (Russia). First, the release will be released on the vinyl, and a little later an expanded digital version will appear. Even plans to release a clip for the song "Robogirl" and concert more.
