The movie operator Vadim Yusov died

In Moscow, at the 85th year of his life, Russian film operator Vadim Yusov died, RIA Novosti reports.

Vadim Yusov was born on April 20, 1929 in the village of Claudino, Leningrad Region. In 1954 he graduated from the Faculty of VGIK. His first major job is the film "Rink and Violin" by Andrei Tarkovsky.

Yusov was also an operator of Tarkovsky’s films “Ivanovo Childhood”, “Solaris”, “Andrey Rublev”. He worked with George Danelia (“I am walking around Moscow”, “completely missing”, “Don’t grieve!”, “Passport”), Sergey Bondarchuk (“They fought for their homeland”, “Red bells”, “Boris Godunov”), Ivan Dykhovichny (“Prorva”, “Kopeyka”), Oleg Dorman (“Setter”).

Since 1983, Yusov headed the Department of Operations Mastery at VGIK.

Yusov - People's Artist of the RSFSR, laureate of the Lenin and State Prize of the USSR, holder of orders of honor and "Merit to the Fatherland" IV degree. Laureate of many festivals and cinema awards, including seven - for outstanding contribution to cinema.
