The head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, said on Friday on the Russia 24 television channel that there is no Islamization in the republic led by him, but the residents of the region will honor religious traditions. “We don’t have any Islamization. He also said that in the republic they show respect for representatives of other faiths.

"Muslims of the Chechen Republic are cleaning and caring for Orthodox cemeteries, despite the fact that almost 90% of the population profess Islam," the head of the region said.

According to him, Chechnya cannot exist separately from Russia. "Russia is my homeland. We do not want to live separately outside of Russia, the whole Chechen people do not want this. And we will not allow anyone to joke with the choice of our people," Kadyrov said.

According to him, thanks to the main attractions of Grozny - the Mosque "Heart of Chechnya" participating in the competition "Russia 10", the region "united Christians and Muslims". The whole country votes for it (the mosque), the head of the republic said.
