Governor of the Perm Territory Viktor Basargin summed up the results of the repair campaign in the region in his blog. The regional leader began with a message about the renovation of the porch of his administration building, which Znak.com wrote about last week. “The other day I noted the news that appeared in a number of online media that Basargin, having returned from vacation, ordered the porch of the administration building to be immediately repaired. In fact, the repairs were planned, all these actions were provided for by the budget process and did not require any additional team,” Viktor Fedorovich wrote in his blog.

According to the head of the region, “these notes” are an informational occasion to sum up the results of the repair campaign for the current year. In his opinion, special “progress” was achieved in terms of road repairs. Among the merits of the regional authorities, Basargin cites the following facts.

“In 2013, they knocked out another 1.6 billion rubles from the federal budget for the reconstruction of the Lobanovo-Koyanovo bypass section of the Perm-Ekaterinburg road. Motorists see that work is going on seven days a week, plus, on our initiative, the management of UralRosavtodor carried out repairs on the worst sections of the road near Shakharovo and Shadeika. The condition of the road at the regional border has improved. Previously, at the entrance to the region from the Sverdlovsk region, everyone immediately cursed the state of Perm roads. Now there are no special complaints about the quality of the track. This is a noticeable plus for the image of the region,” writes Basargin.

Changes for the better also affected the Perm - Izhevsk route. “There are, of course, still areas that require intervention, but I repeat, the situation has noticeably changed for the better,” he noted.

The governor reports that this year, a total of 243 kilometers of regional or intermunicipal roads will be repaired, and a significant part of this work has already been completed. A total of 2.2 billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. Among the notable objects is the completion of the reconstruction of the section 9–18 km of the Eastern Bypass of Perm highway with an interchange at the intersection with the road to Novye Lyady, the section 25–37 km of the Perm-Berezniki road, as well as the first stage of work on the construction of additional lanes to the side rise on the Perm – Berezniki highway with a length of 11.6 kilometers.

The situation with the repair of municipal roads is also improving. “With the participation of interbudgetary transfers, municipalities this year repaired over 300 km of roads and more than 500 thousand square meters of courtyard areas; The construction of a 112-meter-long transit bridge across the Iren River in Kungur has been completed, the commissioning of which had been planned since 2011.

A significant amount of roads within cities have been repaired. In Perm these are Malkova and Popov streets, in Berezniki - Pyatiletki and Yubileinaya streets. Repairs are also underway in other cities,” reports the head of the region.

As for the major repairs of apartment buildings, this work is “not so visible” because “repair objects are scattered around the edges,” and yet this year alone 173 houses are being repaired in 28 municipalities. Half a billion rubles have been allocated for these purposes. And residents of the regional center can see that the facades have begun to be updated. This is the result of joint agreements with the city for 100 million rubles.

The governor promised that this year the facades of 24 houses on Lenin Street should be repaired, work on 4 of them is almost completed, on the rest it will be completed by November 1. The street will be completely renovated by 2015.

At the same time, the governor admits that “there are still many problems”: the protracted repair of Heroes of Khasan Street and the broken Gorky Street in the regional center... But Basargin optimistically notes that “to be objective, then, as they say, “the ice has broken.”
