In Perm, work on the reconstruction of the Kama embankment has been accelerated, because of the pace of which city manager Anatoly Makhovikov threatened to fire the head of the construction department of the administration of the regional center, Sergei Selivanov. According to the press service of the city administration, the contracting organization - Gazmet Intek LLC (considered to be the structure of the deputy of the Legislative Assembly Alexey Lukanin) has optimized its schedule, work is being carried out at an accelerated pace. In turn, customer representatives ensure that the work is completed efficiently and in full.

In the near future, the contractor will begin lining the plant pots with granite. 23 concrete structures were installed last year, and this season trees should appear in them - the city department of external improvement has already issued its recommendations to the customer of the work.

Let us recall that on August 13, Makhovikov conducted an on-site inspection of the progress of work on the embankment. Then Deputy City Manager Nikolai Ukhanov noted that there was a lag behind the schedule (in terms of completion dates) by about a month. The postponement is due to the protracted coordination of work with Russian Railways OJSC. “I see that work is actively underway, materials have been purchased,” summarized Anatoly Makhovikov. “But the fact that deadlines are missed is unacceptable. I believe that the Kama embankment is a landmark object for the entire city. “I instructed my deputy Nikolai Ukhanov to consider the issue of the official suitability of the head of the city construction department responsible for carrying out work on the embankment.”

Please note that large-scale work on the embankment is expected to take several years. Last year, the first stage of the first stage of work on the Kama embankment began. On the section of the lower embankment from berth No. 9 to the pumping station, the contracting organization Gazmet Intek LLC carried out preparatory and rough work: granite and concrete curbs were removed, and the asphalt surface was dismantled. Work on the lower embankment section should be completed in 2013.

In parallel, work has already begun on the improvement of the second stage of the first stage - the section of the upper embankment from the Cathedral to the pumping station. The work schedule includes the restoration of retaining walls, reconstruction of the descent from Komsomolsky Prospekt, installation of outdoor lighting, construction of sidewalks, paths and platforms. The planned completion date for the second stage of the first stage is July 2014.
