The rating of Yekaterinburg mayoral candidate Evgeniy Roizman is already almost twice as high as the rating of his closest rival, Vice-Governor Yakov Silin, according to the former’s headquarters. Political scientist Konstantin Kiselev conducted another sociological study, which recorded that 27.8% of Yekaterinburg residents are going to vote for Evgeniy Roizman. At the same time, the percentage of undecided people became higher than before.

The survey was conducted on August 21-23 in six of the seven districts of Yekaterinburg. As Konstantin Kiselev, who led the work of sociologists (he is running together with Roizman on the Civic Platform list) and Alexey Shcherbakov, told Znak.com, this time the Ordzhonikidze district was excluded from geography just in case, where the last poll showed an extremely high level of support for Roizman (slightly less than 40%). And yet the results turned out to be quite clear.

The founder of the “City Without Drugs” Yevgeny Roizman gains 27.8% of the votes, Vice-Governor Yakov Silin – only 14%. The gap is so big that it is difficult to overcome even with administrative resources and falsifications. Perhaps this is why the security forces have become more active in recent days: the LifeNews website reported that Yevgeny Roizman could become a suspect in a criminal case.

Alexander Burkov’s rating was almost destroyed by the effective “double” technology. Perhaps this case can be included in textbooks on political technologies: a survey showed that the double is even slightly ahead of the “original” in ratings. The fact is that the “fake” Burkov, Alexander Vladimirovich, is alphabetically placed higher in the questionnaires and ballots than the “original”, Alexander Leonidovich. In addition, the doppelgänger had an extremely successful job choice - the director of Fair Housing and Public Utilities LLC - and he was able to take over half the rating of his prototype.

Compared to previous surveys, the number of undecided people has increased. As the survey authors say, this effect often occurs a week to a week and a half before the elections. “In our case, this effect was recorded in three weeks. This is due to the intensification of the campaign by Evgeniy Roizman and Yakov Silin. Perhaps the arrival of some of the townspeople “from vacation” is having an effect. In addition, a factor for the increase in the number of undecideds is the “black” campaign launched against Roizman. And she hits all the candidates, including Silin. It also affects turnout and causes an increase in the undecided,” say Konstantin Kiselev and Alexey Shcherbakov.

According to Kiselev, Roizman’s rating is growing. “If we correct the data for the Ordzhonikidze district and take into account fluctuations associated with the position of the outskirts and the city center, then it clearly exceeds 30% and fluctuates around 33-35%,” the expert believes. At the same time, Yakov Silin’s rating decreased, which Kiselev considers to be a consequence of the latter’s “meaninglessness and scattered campaign.”

Essentially, there are two main candidates left in the race. Kiselyov believes that we should now expect a colossal outburst of “chernukha” against Roizman, as well as increased administrative pressure on the social activist. “Silin simply has nothing else left,” says the author of the survey.

It is interesting that Roizman’s rating is growing, while Silin’s is decreasing, despite the fact that the former is not represented at all in traditional media and outdoor advertising. The second, on the contrary, “doesn’t come out” from TV and radio, newspapers write a lot about it, the whole city is covered with outdoor advertising. Roizman is forced to act using “handicraft” methods: holding meetings in courtyards where 100-200 people come, giving supporters banners on balconies and “branded” red T-shirts, car stickers, etc.
