A major transaction for the sale of coins took place in the Tyumen branch of Sberbank of Russia. According to the CIS portal, a wealthy man, whose name is not mentioned for obvious reasons, but is a well-known person, purchased 15 coins worth a total of 5 million rubles. All of them are dedicated to the XXII Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi.

Olympic coins are now in high demand not only in Russia, but also in the world. They were released in a limited edition, and therefore their price will inevitably increase over time. Each coin cost an average Tyumen rich man 300 thousand rubles. This is how much a person earning 25 thousand rubles a month gets in a year. However, as bank employees reported, the Tyumen resident bought two gold coins, each of which weighs a kilogram and costs 2.4 million rubles. That is, the average price of the remaining 13 coins purchased by the Tyumen investor is 15.3 thousand rubles. By the way, in just seven months of 2013, the West Siberian Bank of Sberbank of Russia sold almost 14 thousand coins made of precious metals for a total amount of more than 86 million rubles. Fans of collectible coins have a large selection - about 1.5 thousand items. Among them there are several coins that can be used to pay an annual salary not only to the average Tyumen resident, but also to an average official.

Theoretically, a rich Tyumen resident could buy the most expensive coin dedicated to the Sochi Olympics. The fact is that last year, only 100 pieces of a three-kilogram gold coin with a face value of 25 thousand rubles and a cost of just over 5 million rubles were issued. Such a coin can be used to issue an annual salary to several Tyumen deputy governors at once. A Tyumen resident most likely acquired two gold coins with a face value of 10 thousand rubles each from the last Olympic series - “Prometheus” and “Matsesta”.
