Earlier, Lazareva reported that the administration of the Hermitage Garden refused to hold a holiday out of fear that a candidate for mayors of the capital Alexei Navalny and his family would arrive there. According to Lazareva, the managers told her that the holiday could turn into a pre -election campaign of Navalny. “They apologized very much, swore that they were respected and ready to cooperate on, but they also have children and they could be fired from work for this,” she wrote.
On Sunday, Navalny was detained by the police after a meeting with voters in Sokolniki. "One of the candidates for mayors of Moscow on Sunday was invited for a conversation to the police department in connection with the violations of the current legislation during a mass event," the press service of the police headquarters said. Later, the police clarified that we are talking about inconsistent use of sound amplification, as well as the installation of a scene that prevents the "normal movement of pedestrians."
Techniques were also detained, which at the end of the meeting dismantled the scene and sound equipment. On Tuesday, the Moscow authorities invited Navalny’s supporters to hold a rally on September 6 on Academician Sakharov Avenue, noting that they were ready to coordinate the number of up to 25 thousand people. The headquarters of Navalny planned to arrange an action on the Sparrow Mountains with the number of participants of 50 thousand people. However, the city hall refused to agree on this event.
