Picture of Konstantin Altunin "Travei"

August 26, Monday

The police seized four paintings by the artist Konstantin Altunin from the St. Petersburg Museum of the authorities: “Rainbow Milonov”, “Travey” with the image of Vladimir Putin and Dmitry Medvedev in underwear, “Erotic dreams of deputy Mizulina” and “From the Confession” with Patriarch Kirill in tattoos. Altunin faces a criminal case. He left the country, asked for asylum in France and prepares a lawsuit against Russia with a demand to return the picture “stolen by power”.

August 27, Tuesday

In the apartment of LGBT activist Nikolai Alekseev, a search was held on the case of insulting the deputies of the State Duma Elena Mizulina and Olga Batalina. The next day, Alekseev said on his VKontakte social network that he was leaving gay activism.

August 29, Thursday

The State Duma introduced a law on the deportation of migrants. According to the authors of the bill, migrants who violated the regime of stay in the country will be expelled beyond Russia.

Judge of the Tver court of Moscow Elena Stashin fined four participants in the rally on Red Square for 10 thousand rubles. The action was organized in memory of the 45th anniversary of the exit to Red Square in protest against the invasion of Soviet troops in Czechoslovakia.

The Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation apologized to the former deputy chief of the metropolitan pre -trial detention center “Butyrka” Dmitry Kratov for the persecution of the death of Sergei Magnitsky in the Sailor Silence pre -trial detention center. Kratov was justified in December 2012. Kratov said earlier that he was not going to achieve rehabilitation due to the fact that he was illegally involved as the accused in the case of the death of Sergei Magnitsky.

August 30, Friday

The Basmanny District Court of Moscow extended the arrest period of Yaroslavl mayor Yevgeny Urlashov until December 2013. Judge Arthur Karpov introduced the guarantee of Boris Nemtsov to the case file.
