“The single is a harbinger of a new album, to which you, as you write on your VKontakte page,“ did a huge preparatory work. ” Tell us what kind of work is this? What else can you tell about the new album - what will it be?

Dima Losev: These are dozens of concerts played, hundreds of studio hours, thousands of kilometers in airplanes, trains and cars. New people, new sounds, new places. We have accumulated inside ourselves something that we ourselves do not fully understand, the new album is a way to understand this.

Tina: I can say, for my part, that recently I have been very inspired by thoughts about space, a person’s fantasy on the topic that we live on one of the many planets, which is essentially only a piece of something very large and incomprehensible. The new Tinavie album "Comet" will be filled with fantastic cosmic states. It seems to me that the album will be more integral in sound, style and mood than our previous work “Hidden Places” . Although we are still “indulging” with the sound and form, and we did not have any specific musical concept.

Dima Zilpet: “ There are no rules,” as Dima Losev said somehow. The new album is such a story about the little prince, who became the hero of the Melancholy von Trier, and somewhere near the music of Cocteau Twins flew a Chelyabinsk meteorite.

- How have your ideas about the group and its music changed over time - from the first album to the third? Maybe you wanted to do one project, but it turned out completely different?

Dima Losev: For me, they have not changed in any way. The experiment continues. But only four years have passed, let's see what will happen next.

And the changes in the sound are natural and inevitable: we all began to play a little differently, this could not but affect the general sound.

Dima Zilpet: When we just started, Tina sang and played the piano all the time, and the group played along very carefully and concisely. Apparently, we somehow appeared at such a moment when “girls with a piano” were a fairly common and popular phenomenon on the international and local, forgive Lord, Indie scene. Perhaps that is why many unreasonably for a long time for Tinavie , this ambiguous collective image “singing girl with a piano” has entrenched. Today everything is completely different. For several years, Tina has only been sings on stage for several years, which made it even more to reveal her huge talent as vocalists. The group now has a completely different approach to creating music, arrangements. Tina is still the author of all the songs of the group, but Tinavie music is a huge joint work in which each musician of the group is indispensable. It seems to me that Tinavie has become less chamber, today it is a group with a big concert sound that is not lost on a big stage. Although at the same time we still know how to play very carefully and insinuatingly.

Tina: Well, of course, it is also important that the group has a new fantastic musician-bass player Sergey “Grebstel” Kalachev from the Inna group of the desired. With him, we began to sound deeper and more unusual.

- You sing in English - did you have an English -language audience? Were there a tour abroad and (or) performances at festivals? Have you received proposals from foreign labels? Do you do anything in this direction?

Dima Zilpet: As far as I know, American and English listeners are not very interested in something except the local scene. Therefore, I would say that rather the audience is not English -language, but international - and yes, it appeared. This, of course, is not yet bitterness, but the beginning is laid.

Tina: Thanks to the Internet, our music has long been listened and loved in various countries of the world. People write to us completely from everywhere, from Germany, France, the Czech Republic, and other European countries. On the Facebook page, the most extravagant in geography receive messages, for example, from Mexico, Brazil, Bolivia.

Dima Zilpet: there are interests and contacts, another question is that all this, unfortunately, is quite difficult to turn into real trips and concerts. It seems to me that this is the same as if you live in the Russian outback: you can leave sometimes to play at the festival in Moscow, but in order to seriously develop your musical business, you must still leave for Moscow or Peter at some point. There are exceptions, but their units. Also with international plans. You need to go there more and more often, get acquainted with people who can help with something. Now there are such movements. New opportunities are opening every year, at the end of September we are going on a joint trip to the States with the Zorge group, we will open Zorge concerts in New York and San Francisco. Soon the first solo concerts of Tina in Paris should happen. In general, I think, everything should develop with us, as it was in Moscow: at first, Tina performed alone or Tinavie played a chamber composition, and then gradually Tinavie became a large group. We will also gradually act in the international direction.

- Most Tinavie participants play in other projects - how are your colleagues in these groups evaluate your music? Of course, the most polar opinions are curious.

Dima Losev: with interest, sympathy, support. Often help with word and deed.

Tina: It seems to me that there is one big plus in this matter. We are good for us-friend-colleags! In any case, as far as I know.

Dima Zilpet: We really are friends and cooperate a lot, enroll each other on plates, perform together. If it were not for these sometimes terrible intersections in touring schedules, then everything would be super.

-What is good and what bad has happened in the Russian pop music over the past year? Album, artist, media channel, event that you discussed inside the group?

Tina: To be honest, I am not very delighted with what is happening in terms of music in Russia. Especially in the media areas, we do not have interesting music that people would be listened to throughout the country. She is, but almost no one knows about her, as it seems to me. When you listen to the charts of the country, it becomes embarrassed, scary and uneasy!

Dima Zilpet: It seems to me that nothing global happened. It is nice that this summer there are more festivals in Moscow, I do not remember such an abundance of interesting concerts. In general, I try to go to all festivals, listen to new groups, monitor the new releases of our Russian colleagues. But sometimes it seems to me that drive, shocking, pressure, fashionable sound and “onion” are a lot, but the music is some kind of not very interesting. Over the past year, I really liked the performances and notes on-the-go , Glintshake seemed very convincing live, I really liked the song-“Pirates”, Sinecdoha Montok literally struck some poems, and Yana Demo sings great. In general, there are not many impressions, unfortunately, but, apparently, I'm just trying to find something where it is not necessary to look.

- What will the Tinavie concert look like in five years?

Tina: I dream of making big concerts. With a good big sound. On a big beautiful scene. Perhaps with a sedentary room. With beautiful light and video installations. With a competent organization, I see everything "in an adult way."

Dima Zilpet: Today I had a dream on the way to St. Petersburg on the way to St. Petersburg that Tina sang from Triki - they are on stage, and he says: “Ladies and Gentlemen, Please Welcome Tina” . So I want in five years we would rejoice at such performances, but that they no longer surprise us.
