In St. Petersburg, the police detained the director of the Museum of power Tatyana Titov. This was written on his twitter by the galleryist Marat Gelman with reference to the owner of the museum Alexander Donskoy. Gelman did not report any details.

Later Donskoy told Fontanka.ru that Titov was detained about 2 a.m. on Tuesday near the museum, where she was preparing an exposition for the opening scheduled for September 5. The directors were kept until 6 in the morning in the 78th police department, after which they released. Meanwhile, when Donskoy and the lawyer called the department to find out the situation with Titova, the police replied that they did not have such a detainee.

The publication suggested that the directors were detained because it tore off the seal from the sealed entrance to the room. Now access to the museum is still closed, but the administration contrary to this expects to open the institution for the Big Twenty summit.

Meanwhile, the press service of the Main Directorate of St. Petersburg denied the fact of the detention of Titova. The police chief said that the museum directors were taken to the department along with three satellites - one woman and two men - to verify documents and released without drawing up a protocol on an administrative offense. At the same time, the detention was not carried out, the police emphasized.

The basis for checking documents, added in the headquarters, was a message from one of the residents about a group of suspicious people in the courtyard of house 20 on Nevsky Prospekt. According to this challenge, an outfit was sent.

On the eve of the leadership of the Museum of Government sent a complaint to the prosecutor's office of St. Petersburg against the deputy of the city legislative assembly of the Unicorn Vitaly Milonov, who participated in the recent defeat of the exhibition of Konstantin Altunin "rulers". “We studied the responsibilities of the deputy - there is no point that he can inspect museums. Now law enforcement officers must give a legal assessment of what he did,” Donskoy commented on this step in an interview with RIA Novosti. Earlier, the defense of the Museum of the authorities filed an application with the police to the deputy.

The defeat of the exhibition occurred in the evening of August 26. The police took four paintings by Altunin from the Museum of the authorities to check if there are signs of extremism in them. The suspicions of law enforcement officers were caused by the paintings "Rainbow Milonov", "Travevo" with the image of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev in underwear, diptych "Erotic dreams of deputy Mizulina", as well as "from the Conference" - a portrait of Patriarch Kirill in tattoos.

Together with the police, headed by the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Central District of the city, Alexander Bukach, employees in civilian clothes arrived, who did not introduce themselves. After some time, Milonov joined them. Having examined the exposition, he expressed disgust and left the museum.

After Milonov left, the police blocked the entrance to the institution. Titov was held in the building until late at night. Without presenting any documents, they drew up the paintings and seized four of them. The police also sealed the cashier to take her with them.

Altunin, after the defeat of his exposition , emigrated from Russia , saying that he intends to ask for refuge in France. According to Donskoy, in the evening of August 27, the artist found out that the police were waiting for him at home. Then he took the first ticket to Copenhagen, and from there flew to France. “I called me from Copenhagen,” said the owner of the Museum of power. “On the phone, he said that he did not want to fight with all sorts of morons, but wants to engage in art and not sit in prison.”
