The Pentagon intends to launch a military operation in Syria and launch missile and bomb attacks on the Arab country within three days, the Los Angeles Times reports , citing its sources.

According to the newspaper, the Pentagon and the White House are currently preparing for an attack.

“Several series of strikes will be carried out, and each strike will be followed by an assessment of the situation. The operation will last 72 hours, there is every reason to believe that this is probably all,” the newspaper quotes its source. According to her, the Pentagon is preparing to intensify the operation and include Air Force bombers, missiles and five Navy ships that are currently patrolling the eastern Mediterranean. The authorities may also involve an aircraft carrier located in the Red Sea in the operation. The US also requested an expanded list of targets to be destroyed in addition to the existing 50 targets.
