The parliament of Ingushetia re -elected Evkurov for a second term
Deputies of the People’s Assembly of Ingushetia almost unanimously re-elected the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Evkurov, Interfax reports. During the secret vote, 25 deputies voted for Yevkurov, two deputies voted for the representative of the city council Nazran Urushan Evloev. In total, 27 deputies were attended by the meeting.
According to the Constitution of the Republic, the head of Ingushetia is elected for a period of five years.
On May 8, deputies of the People’s Assembly of Ingushetia adopted amendments to the bill on the election of the head of the republic, according to which the senior official of the region will be elected to the republican parliament.
On June 4, President Vladimir Putin accepted Yevkurov’s resignation from the post of the current head of Ingushetia and appointed him the temporarily acting head of the republic
On August 17, Putin submitted to the People’s Assembly of Ingushetia to election the acting head of the Evkurov, Chairman of the Council of the Regional Branch of the Just Russia party, deputy of the city council, Nazran Urushan Yevloev and the deputy chairman of the republican parliament Magomed Tatrieva.
