The court in Ulan-Ude sentenced the former inspector of the Accounts Chamber Pavel Yeremeyev to five years of the general regime for the theft of 30 million rubles from the budget of Buryatia and an attempt to theft of 1.4 million rubles. This was reported on the website of the TFR. The auditor was found guilty under Part 3 of Article 159 (large -scale fraud committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy) and part 3 of Article 30, part 4 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code (attempted fraud). According to Kommersant, Yeremeyev made a deal with the investigation and his case was considered in a special order.

In July 2002, Yeremeyev, who held in the Accounts Chamber the position of chief inspector of the inspection of the Federal Fund for Financial Support of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation, as part of the auditors brigade, conducted an audit of the execution of the republican budget in Ulan-UDE. As the court established, the inspector ensured that the regional government signed with the Krimson one-day company, registered for a lost passport, an automated financial planning system for the development and procurement management for the needs of the republic. The price of the contract amounted to 1 million dollars. In accordance with it, 30 million rubles were received from the budget of Buryatia to the Crimson account.

In the future, this money "Crimson" brought abroad. They were transferred to Bishkek Asiaunsalbank to a certain American company, and then cashed.

The claimed, Yeremeyev acted with accomplices. Nevertheless, they remained unidentified.

The court also considered proven that in December 2003, after dismissal from the Accounts Chamber, the official, using a fraudulent scheme, tried to kidnap more than 1.4 million rubles from the Buryatia budget.

In March 2004, the Republican prosecutor's office opened a case on the fact of failure to fulfill the contract. Yeremeyev hid for a long time, including in Uzbekistan and other foreign countries. The charge in 2008 was brought in absentia in absentia. The former official was detained only in June 2012 in Moscow.
