In Yakutsk, participants in a spontaneous rally against pedophiles tried to break into the building of the investigative department, demanding that they give them a suspect in the rape of a 4-year-old girl.

Earlier on Wednesday, relatives of the injured girl and their acquaintances gathered in the city center, where they collected signatures under the appeal to the country's leadership demanding to tighten the punishment for violence against children.

Then, having come to the place of residence of two witnesses of the crime, they tried to break through through the police cordon and called for a lynching.

The witnesses were first detained along with the suspect at the place of attack on the child on September 8, but then - after long interrogations - they were released.

The crime received a large public outcry.
