Princeton is the first in the list of the best American universities

Princeton University went around Harvard as the best higher educational institution in the United States. This is the result of the newly annual rating of American universities, drawn up by US News & World Report, based on an analysis of 1800 universities and colleges throughout the country.

The best humanitarian university in the magazine’s tablet again became Williams College, the RS correspondent reports in New York.

Participants in the competition are evaluated by a large number of indicators, including the quality of applicants and the percentage of freshmen who completed their studies and received a diploma. The last criterion in the current list is given increased weight.

The evaluated factors also include the cost of training, the availability of scholarships, the percentage of graduates who finish studying with unpaid debts for education. In terms of the latest, Princeton also differs favorably with competitors: only 24 percent of its graduates have debts, and not at all large, on average a little more than 5 thousand dollars.
