In the Moscow region, police detained an artist

This afternoon, operatives detained artist Evgeny Medvedev in the village of Guslitsa and then took him to the Moscow Presnenskoye police station, where he is still being held. The reasons for Medvedev's detention are not known. In Guslitsa, Medvedev was preparing for the opening of an exhibition that will be held as part of the V Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art, this was announced by Medvedev’s colleague Anton Nikolaev, one of the curators of the exhibition.
