© DEDE / "GlavClub"On December 3, the English rock musician Peter Peter Murphy, ex-vocalist of the Bauhaus group, will perform the Bauhaus Club in the Moscow Club of the "35 years old".
“The King is ready,” as Peter Murphy is sometimes called, in 1978 he began to sing in the Bauhaus group, which became one of the first and brightest representatives of Gothic rock. Since the mid-1980s, Murphy has been issuing solo notes, including the Deep album (1989), which took high places in American charts.
In the early 1990s, the musician was carried away by Sufism and the work of George Gurdjiev, he accepted Islam and moved to Turkey. When Murphy went on tour with former Bauhaus colleagues in the late 1990s, he refused to perform some songs, because their texts did not meet the norms of his new religion.
After the final breakdown of Bauhaus in 2008, Murphy returned to concert activities, having carried out several joint tours with Nine Inch Nails , and also released several covers of the songs of John Lennon, David Bowie, Nine Inch Nails and Joy Division .
The last album of Peter Murphy, Ninth , was released in 2011 and received approving reviews of critics who noted the return of the elements of Gothic rock and the post-punk to the musician’s work.
The concert on December 3 in Moscow will be held as part of the tour “Mr. Moonlight Tour ” dedicated to the 35th anniversary of the Bauhaus group.
