Putin will not meet with representatives of the opposition. Such a statement, it turns out, can also be news. The press secretary of the head of state denied the Vedomosti message about the upcoming meeting with Evgeny Roizman, Gennady Gudkov, Ksenia Sobchak, Ilya Ponomarev as part of the Valdai Forum.

“As far as I know, there are no,” the agency of Dmitry Peskov quoted, answering the question of whether the opposition will be Gennady Gudkov, Evgeny Roizman and others to take part in the meeting of the head of state with club members. Today, the newspaper Vedomosti reported this.

Peskov explained that the opposition were invited by the organizers to participate in panel discussions. “In a meeting with the president, as a rule, the members of the Valdai club and invited experts in Russia themselves participate,” Peskov said.

That is, the authorities called the opponents, but they will not allow Putin to meet. And what's the point then?

Putin at the same table with the opposition - in general, it looked logical. Immediately after the regional elections, Vyacheslav Volodin, the deputy head of the presidential administration, who oversees politics, said that the Kremlin was satisfied with what happened, that is, the vote, which almost happened in Moscow, and representatives of the opposition won in Yekaterinburg and Petrozavodsk in the mayor’s elections.

But, apparently, everything remains as before.
