Alexey Navalny sent 952 claims to the Moscow City Court with complaints about election results. The complaints amounted to about 80 thousand pages. Representatives of the non -systemic opposition were invited to a meeting with Vladimir Putin, who will be held as part of the conference of the Valdai discussion club on September 16-19 at the presidential residence in Valdai. The invitations were received by the co-chair of the RPR-Parnas Vladimir Ryzhkov, former State Duma deputy Gennady Gudkov, State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev, mayor of Yekaterinburg Evgeny Roizman, member of the Coordination Council of the opposition, TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak.
60 deputies of the European Parliament, at the initiative of the Green Party, Werner Schulz nominated Mikhail Khodorkovsky for the Academician Andrei Sakharov Academician for freedom of thought. Among the nominees for this award is Edward Snowden. The winner will be announced on October 10, 2013. Last year, Iranian human rights activist Nasrin Sotowes and Iranian film director Jafar Panahi received the prize.
