The Syktyvkar City Court paid 20 thousand rubles to the LGBT movement activist Vyacheslav Slyusarev as compensation for the illegal cessation of the picket, where he was on March 31, protesting against homophobia.

The Investigative Department of the IC of Russia in Tatarstan canceled the decision on the termination of the criminal case on the death of Pavel Drozdov in the Kazan police department of Yudino. Alexey Navalny sent 952 claims to the Moscow City Court with complaints about election results. The complaints amounted to about 80 thousand pages. The applicant demands to recognize the results of the elections invalid and recalculate the votes. On September 16, in the Moscow City Court, preliminary hearings on claims filed by the headquarters of Alexei Navalny will be held.

Representatives of the non -systemic opposition were invited to a meeting with Vladimir Putin, who will be held as part of the conference of the Valdai discussion club on September 16-19 at the presidential residence in Valdai. The invitations were received by the co-chair of the RPR-Parnas Vladimir Ryzhkov, former State Duma deputy Gennady Gudkov, State Duma deputy Ilya Ponomarev, mayor of Yekaterinburg Evgeny Roizman, member of the Coordination Council of the opposition, TV presenter Ksenia Sobchak.

60 deputies of the European Parliament, at the initiative of the Green Party, Werner Schulz nominated Mikhail Khodorkovsky for the Academician Andrei Sakharov Academician for freedom of thought. Among the nominees for this award is Edward Snowden. The winner will be announced on October 10, 2013. Last year, Iranian human rights activist Nasrin Sotowes and Iranian film director Jafar Panahi received the prize.
