Snowden hired private security

The exposure of the American special services Edward Snowden, who settled in Russia, hired private security. This was stated in an interview with Russia Today the Rassia Today, a member of the Public Chamber Anatoly Kucheren. The lawyer added that Snowden's place of residence at his own request is still kept secret, since "the level of danger is quite high."

Kucheren added that Snowden goes for walks and “travels”, but no one has yet recognized him either on the streets or in public places.

On August 1, the American received a temporary shelter in Russia for a period of one year, and a few days later he registered at the place of stay and registered in the migration service. Then the founder and general director of the VKontakte social network Pavel Durov offered Snowden to work in his project. The American reaction to this invitation was not reported.

Last Wednesday, it became known that the European United Left/Left-Green North faction nominated Snowden for the Sakharov Prize for Freedom of Thought. The prize winner will be elected leaders of the European Parliament factions in October.
