1978. The signing of the Camp-David agreements

The US Carter President Jimmy Carter in the Camp David, who took place from September 6, was negotiating between the Egyptian President Anvar Sadat and Israeli Prime Minister Menachem Begina ended with the signing of two agreements-“Principles for signing a peace treaty between Egypt and Israel” and “Principles of the world in the Middle East”. Israel pledged to leave the Sinai Peninsula, the countries agreed on the swimming regime along the Suez Canal and the establishment of diplomatic relations. The parties also agreed that the resolution of the UN Security Council 242 should become the basis for further settlement.
