The ex-director of "AST Group" is charged with the use of slave labor

The ex-director of AST Group Zhanuko Rafailov was charged with committing crimes under Articles 210 of the Criminal Code (organization of a criminal community), 322.1 (organization of illegal migration) and 127.2 (use of slave labor). This was reported by the press service of the Moscow headquarters of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

On September 2, the Tver District Court of Moscow granted the application of the investigation and concluded Rafailov for a period of two months.

Capital police reported about the detention of the AST Group manager on August 30. He became the seventh person involved in the criminal case, instituted on the facts of organizing a criminal community, illegal migration and the use of slave labor.

"According to the investigation, the detainee is the director and shareholder of AST Group CJSC, on behalf of which at least 700 Vietnam citizens illegally lived and worked on rented warehouses," the capital head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reports. The suspect rented these industrial territories, negotiated and represented the company in the courts in order to avoid the transfer of the right to lease to third parties.

On August 22, six persons involved in the use of slave labor of migrants were charged . He is charged with the same articles of the Criminal Code. All defendants were previously arrested. The police still do not report the names of the accused.

According to the Moscow Central Internal Affairs Directorate, all three belonged to the criminal community that organized the illegal migration of foreigners, mainly from Vietnam, and the use of their slave labor in underground production.
