The deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation will meet with Bashar Assad

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Ryabkov, who is now on a visit to Damascus, will meet with Syria President Bashar Assad on September 18, Interfax reports with reference to the Syrian ambassador in Moscow Riyad Haddad.

On the eve of Ryabkov met with the Foreign Minister of Syria Valid Mualleom. During the meeting, the Russian diplomat reported on the “details of the agreement of Lavrov and Kerry” during the conference on the Syrian issue, which was held in Geneva on September 12-14.

Mualle, in turn, presented evidence of the involvement of the militants in a chemical attack near Damascus.
