© Mashable.comThe Facebook social network in Russia is included in the register of prohibited sites and can be blocked if the violations are not eliminated within three days.
This was announced by ITAR-TASS representative of Roskomnadzor Vladimir Pikov.
Pikov specified that with a request to make a Facebook website, about 10 applications were received in a single register of prohibited sites, but most of them were rejected. “Three applications, including not related to advertising of smoking mixtures, went to the examination. For two of them, Facebook has already eliminated violations, and the third link is included in the register. We have already sent a notification to the hosting providers. Facebook has three days to remove the violation, so as not to be blocked in Russia, ”the representative of Roskomnadzor explained.
At the same time, Facebook itself has not yet received information about the entry in the register of prohibited sites and the possible blocking of the resource.
On Monday, users of the social network reported that announcements for the sale of smoking mixtures appeared on the pages of the portal. The Russian Facebook explained the appearance on the pages of the social network of advertising smoking mixtures with a technical failure and began to delete advertisements. The federal antimonopoly service also took up the site.
