In a number of cities of Greece, large anti -fascist demonstrations were held, some of which turned into clashes with the police. The cause of street actions was the murder of a local antiphashist Pavlos Fissas. On suspicion of a crime, a 45-year-old man who confessed the murder was detained. According to the police, he is a supporter of the ultra -right wing of the Khrisi Avga party (Golden Dawn), whose members have repeatedly declared their commitment to neo -fascism.

The 34-year-old Hip-Hop Fissas Hip-Hope was well known in Greece under the Killah P. stage pseudonym after he died after he received a knife wound near the cafe in the Keracini working area, located west of the Athens. The attack on the musician occurred after a fight that began at a football match, CNN reports.

After the incident, the police held raids in the Offices of the Golden Dawn, trying to find evidence testifying to the party’s relationship with the crime. In the organization itself, her involvement in the murder is categorically denied. The leader of the Golden Dawn, Nicholas Mikhaloliakos, said that he considers the crime a crime is "disgusting." In Keracini, thousands of protesters gathered for a promotion near the crime scene on Wednesday evening. The event grew into riots, during which the manifestants set fire to garbage tanks, and also threw stones, sticks and Molotov’s cocktails, which in response used tear gas and light -Shuman grenades. The victims were not reported, dozens of people were detained.
