"The fate of Nubia: pharaohs, archaeologists and dam"

The lecture is dedicated to the Nubian Campaign of UNESCO, as a result of which unique monuments of ancient Egyptian architecture were saved from the advancing water of the Nile, among which are like masterpieces as the rock temples of Abu Simbele, the Complex of the Goddess Isis on the island of Files, the churches of Calabshi. Monuments that were flooded with the waters of the artificial lake Nasser, as well as temples and invaluable works of art transferred by Egypt by Egypt Europe and the United States, are less known to pay for the participation of these countries in the complex process of the struggle for the salvation of ancient masterpieces.
