Permm Museum is looking for directors

The Ministry of Culture of the Perm Territory announced the All -Russian competition to replace the vacant position of the director of the Perm Museum of Modern Art Permm, which was previously occupied by Marat Gelman.

The competition will be held in two stages, reports ITAR-TASS . The first stage will be held from October 21 to 31 in writing in the form of test tests, the second - from November 6 to 14 in the form of a personal interview.

“The winner is recognized as a contender of the competition, admitted to the competition, successfully passed test tests and recognized by the commission as the best in terms of personal interview. According to the results of the competition, the Ministry of Culture, Youth Policy and Mass Communications of the Perm Territory within 30 calendar days from the date of signing the Protocol of the Commission meeting issues an act on the appointment of the winner to the post of head of the Museum of Modern Art and concludes an employment contract with it, ”the Perm Territory Ministry of Culture explained.

In June 2013, the Perm authorities terminated the contract with Marat Gelman. Before that, the Governor of the Perm Territory Viktor Basargin instructed the regional control and accounting chamber to check the expenditure of the budget of the White Nights festival, the development director of which is Helman. Earlier, the regional prosecutor’s office began checking the budget of the festival and the legality of payments to the organizers, including Marat Helmann. In his office in the Permm Museum, a search was held.

After the dismissal of Gelman, the Perm galleryman Elena Oleinikova was appointed to his position, who was soon also dismissed . Oleinikova called the cause of her departure from PermM censorship and the pressure exerted on the museum from the regional Ministry of Culture.
