Milonov convicted the new iPhone in espionage

The deputy of the St. Petersburg Legislative Assembly Vitaly Milonov decided to contact the Russian intelligence services with a request to check if the Americans are collecting fingerprints of Russians with the help of the iPhone 5s, Interfax said.

"There is no guarantee that the fingerprints of 5s will not be in the database of American special services. This is very similar to the truth. The device for collecting biometric data does not guarantee that this information will not fall into a single server," Milonov said.

The deputy emphasized that he opposes the fact that such telephones are used for official purposes. At the same time, Milonov himself is going to purchase an iPhone 5s. “I am interested in as a phone with the first 64 -bit processor in the world. This is my weakness, I love different gadgets of this type,” said Milonov, emphasizing that he would use the phone only for personal purposes, and the fingerprint scanner will not be used.

Milonov is not the first politician who believes that foreign companies can spy on the Russians. Earlier, Senator Ruslan Gattarov demanded that the American companies Facebook and Google reveal information about the transfer of personal data of Russians to third parties.

On September 10, Apple introduced the new iPhone model, in which the Touch ID function appeared, which allows the user to be identified through the fingerprint scanner. Computer security specialists from the German Association Chaos Computer Club managed to deceive the scanner, authorized with the help of a dummy fingerprint.

Vitaliy Milonov is the author of a number of resonant bills, including the ban on abortion, endowing embryos by civil rights, as well as the law on the prohibition of propaganda of homosexuality among minors, according to which he initiated the persecution of several stars.
