The court introduced video materials to the case proving the innocence of Kosenko

The judge of the Zamoskvoretsky court of Moscow Lyudmila Moskalenko satisfied the application for the introduction to the materials of the "Swamp Prisoner" of Mikhail Kosenko, a video made on May 6, 2012 Witnessing the defense of Leonid Bedelizov. Lawyer Vladimir Ryanov addressed a written request. The prosecutor objected to the introduction of videos and screenshots from it. He motivated this by the fact that the record was made "incomprehensible in which way." However, the judge satisfied the petition.

In the video, which has long been published on YouTube, an episode was captured when the victim riot police Alexander Kazmin was thrown to the ground. It is clearly seen that at that moment Kosenko is 3-4 meters from the scene.

On Tuesday, Moskalenko refused to introduce the video to the case file as "received by non -subject." Bedelizov, better known on the network as Leonid Armor, was forced to retell the content of the recording verbally.

Earlier, at a meeting on Tuesday, the court heard the president of the independent psychiatric association of Russia Yuri Savenko. He sharply criticized the methods of conducting a psychiatric examination of Kosenko . During this discussion, the defendant asked for closing the process, not wanting a public discussion of his illness. The court granted his petition, the audience left the hall.

After the performance of experts, the process continued in open mode. The court refused to conduct a second psychiatric examination.

A psychiatric examination of Kosenko was held at the Serbian Institute. Kosenko seriously tightened the diagnosis and recognized as dangerous for himself and others. Meanwhile, the Public Verdict Foundation, which defends Kosenko, recalls that the arguments of the forensic psychiatric examination of the Politzek conducted in July 2012 were challenged by independent specialists . Already after the examination, Kosenko was kept in a regular cell along with other prisoners, without entering into any conflicts and without showing aggression.

On September 9, the judge refused to release the political prisoner to the funeral of her mother . As the lawyer of the "Swamp Prisoner" Vladimir Ryanov said, "in court it was reported that there was no such practice." As a result, Nina Kosenko was buried in the absence of her son. On September 10, the press secretary of the Zamoskvoretsky court, Evgeny Kazukhin, explained that Kosenko was not released to the funeral due to the mental disorder .

On September 13, riot police, Roman Puzikov, acting as a witness to the prosecution, said he could not identify the defendant . Puzikov also said that he did not see how his colleague Kazmin was hit.

In the future, however, the riot police, under the pressure of the prosecutor, disaded his statement, saying that he recognized Kazmin and Kosenko on the story of the video from the case file. Immediately after that, he answered the question of defense that he could not find out at the personnel demonstrated during the meeting.

On July 22, Casmin did not recognize the demonstrator attacking him in Kosenko. Riot police said that the accused was not familiar to him. He also remarked: "In the video, I did not see the person in a red shirt (presumably Kosenko) beat me - he just stood nearby."

“Even if it was Kosenko that was injured, I don’t want to be evil,” Kazmin added. “I don’t want Comrade Kosenko to sit in prison.”

On August 28, the Supreme Court refused the complaint of Kosenko . The Politzek disputed the provisions of the rules according to which the convoy employees prohibit transferring any documents from the lawyer to his client and vice versa if they were not allowed to familiarize themselves with the papers.

On September 4, the Moscow City Court refused to free Kosenko from custody. Relatives of the "Swamp Prisoner" offered to pay a deposit, but the investigators said that the defendant would be able to hide or "continue to engage in criminal activity."

38-year-old Kosenko has been in custody since June 8, 2012. He is the only accused in the “swamp case” who was charged with part 2 of Article 318 of the Criminal Code (the application of dangerous violence to a representative of the authorities). Since 1999, Kosenko has been a disabled person of the group II of a mental illness that developed in him after the contusion received in the army. The Politsyk case is allocated in a separate proceeding. The trial of Kosenko continues from last fall.
