This was reported by ITAR-TASS in the press service of Roskomnadzor following the results of the competition held on Wednesday, September 25. According to representatives of the Federal Competition Commission for Television and Radio Broadcasting, the company Spas-TV presented by the aggregate of criteria the best concept of broadcasting of the television channel and its technical and economic justification.
According to the terms of the competition, the channel applying for a place in the second multiplex should broadcast daily and around the clock at least five constituent entities of the Russian Federation, the broadcasting concept is free, while domestic programs should be at least 55% of the total content.
The founder of Savior is the Moscow Patriarchate of the Russian Orthodox Church, notes RBC Daily . The mission of the channel, says on its website , is “the formation of a worldview and moral coordinates necessary for the effective development of the state, on the basis of original Orthodox values”.
The program concept is aimed at "the development and strengthening of the spiritual and moral foundations of the Russian state." Among the faces of the Savior Archpriest Vsevolod Chaplin, the host of the Eternity and Time program. The program "Dialogue under the clock" is conducted by Archpriest Dmitry Smirnov.
The place in the second multiplex was released after at the end of April the TV-Center channel by decree of Vladimir Putin was included in the list of all-Russian compulsory public television channels, that is, in the first multiplex.
Last year, Roskomnadzor determined 10 television channels that will enter the second digital package. Of the 19 applications, the Federal Competition Commission was chosen by REN TV, TV-Center, STS, Home, Sport (VGTRK), Sport Plus (NTV plus), “Zvezda”, “Mir”, TNT and “MUZ-TV”. The transition to digital broadcasting in Russia, according to the corresponding state program, should end in 2015. By this time, residents of Russia will be able to watch more than 20 television channels in digital quality.
