“For the fact that Jones used doping - and now you can talk about this openly, I would like to knock him out and wipe his legs on him,” Lebedev said in an interview with ITAR -TASS. “I never wanted anything bad. But I want to punish this person.”

It is expected that the results of the opening of the sample "in" Jones will be declared on Thursday. If it gives a positive result, the Russian will ask the president of the World Boxing Association (WBA) Zhilberto Mendoza to reduce the disqualification of the Latin American, which can be from six months to two years.

“According to the WBA rules, if Jones is again convicted of doping, the championship belt will return to me ,” Lebedev said. “If the Guillermo is removed for a long time, I will ask the President of WBA, Mr. Mendoza, so that his disqualification is reduced. I want us to have a chance to measure his strength again.”

Recall that on May 17 of this year, Jones won with a technical knockout in the 11th round over Lebedev and took the WBA world champion title in the weight category up to 90.71 kg.
