The Keta electronic project, invented by the musician Andrei OID Antonz and the leader of the “Mumiy Troll” Ilya Lagutenko, unfortunately, is very rare , so we can only watch their video clips. Premiere on colta.ru.
I remember the autumn day very well when I wrote this topic. It was in November 2011, I was going to Asia and did not imagine when I would go back and would return at all. For me it was a farewell motive. Of course, I did not assume that it would make a song.
Once much later, I sent a sketch Ilya (Lagutenko), and he wrote a couple of verses on my topic. Some outlines appeared, but the song was postponed to better times. When in 2012 we almost finished all the songs in Riga, going out to the finish direct album, this one was still dusting, remaining an ugly duckling. I even asked Ilya to remake the text, since it began to seem to me that everything was too depressing. Instead of “just there was not enough impudence,” I asked to sing, “if only there was enough impudence.” But still something was missing.
This song remained unfinished and hung like a sword of Damocles, when everyone else was already reduced. But a miracle happened, and a decisive goal scored Gonzo (Martinsh Strawtyx).
This song is the most expensive for me on our album, because, firstly, I, so to speak, remember it in the germ itself, and secondly, it was the rare case when we worked together, and did not exchange files on the Internet, this is the anthem of our friendship.
The song "Insolence" appeared in late August 2012. Andrei and I had great doubts about her, as we worked separately, and Skype and social networks cannot replace personal communication, especially in creative work. One fine day of August, I and OID met in Riga in a friend’s apartment, where Andrei gathered an impromptu studio, and sat for work. The “audacity” was almost ready, but something was missing. OID went to the cafe because there was no Internet in the apartment, and I was left alone. There was a suitable rhythm drawing on the drama machine, then I changed the bass, and the melody was revealed-as Ilya later said, in the style of Sint-Pop of the 1980s. It was the moment of Euryk. The song turned out to be airy and positive. Each time, it becomes warm from its listening.
This was the rare case when we filmed the visual series, not imagining for whom we are doing this. For a long time, we were tormented by visions from the life of flora and fauna, as if to beg for visualization. With the help of the highest air forces, we accidentally ended up in the Riga Botanical Garden and began to remove enchantment-phloristic mobile still lifes. The shot material lay idle for some time until we-again-purely by chance we heard Keta's “audacity”. Here we realized that it was this thing that should be dipped in our impudent, thorny-color visions.
