Jeep tests Nissan Juke competitor

The company promises that its new compact crossover will have "the most off-road capability in its class." At the moment, Jeep is conducting the first tests of the chassis of the future model, using the Fiat 500L platform and body panels as a test mule, reports Avtoutro.ru .

The little Jeep will be a direct competitor to the Opel Mokka, Nissan Juke and Ford EcoSport, and the company's management has high hopes for it to increase the brand's presence and overall sales in the North American and European markets. However, it is noted that in order to achieve these goals, Jeep will not sacrifice its signature brutality and off-road reputation.

The design of the car will be quite rough and aggressive, inspired by the appearance of the latest generation Wrangler. Already in the base, the mini-SUV should have all-wheel drive, which will become its distinguishing feature from its competitors.

"We're committed to preserving the brand's signature qualities and not sacrificing them to reach more potential customers. The core principles on which the Jeep brand is based - freedom, authenticity and a sense of adventure - resonate with enough customers for us to retain them without compromising the success of the new model,” explained Jeep Europe head Chris Ellis.

Most likely, the new small Jeep will be shown to the public in March next year at the Geneva Motor Show.
