Krapp's Last Tape is both a monologue and a dialogue. An actor on stage speaks to his own voice, recorded on tape many years ago. The old man celebrates his birthday alone and prepares to write down his memories of the past year - a tradition he observed throughout almost his entire life. Before starting, he includes a recording made about thirty years ago, at the end of what must have been the last truly happy year of his life. Bile, mocking, ironic, he hardly recognizes himself in the romantic, confidential intonations of the voice of his youth. This is how the living legend of the modern theater, the outstanding American director, stage designer and actor Robert Wilson will appear on the Moscow stage for the first time: on October 6, at the Na Strastnoy Theater Center, as part of the VI Moscow International Solo Performance Festival SOLO , he will present his new work based on Samuel Beckett.
