59-year-old Filles Carlos Robbles filed a life on September 30. According to officials from the state prosecutor’s office, the mayor came to work at about 8.30 in the morning local time and immediately went to the unit responsible for ensuring public order. There, the official asked for two security officers to provide him with their hundredth weapons for inspection. At some point, without explaining the reasons, he put one of the pistols to his head and pressed the trigger - the death of the politician was instant.

According to the Governor of Miguel Alonso Reyes, eyewitnesses of the event, as well as video recordings from surveillance cameras at the city hall, indicate that Robbless has committed suicide, the Mexican publication La Jornada notes. So far, nothing is known about the reasons for such an act.

However, there is evidence that a long -standing unpleasant event could affect his psychologically unstable state - four years ago the criminals abducted his son, who was released after paying the ransom, RIA Novosti reports. Now the Mexican authorities are waiting for the results of a forensic medical examination.

Robblez, who took office only on September 15, and before that for a long time he worked as a doctor, represented the Social Democratic Institutional Revolutionary Party. After his death, he left his wife and five children aged seven to 24 years.
