The Yekaterinburg Quartet Polska Radio One arose two years ago on the basis of a group playing garage rock - the guitarist and vocalist Dmitry Kutnyakov immediately declares that he would not want to call her name. After that, the group decided to perform psychedelic music - with an abundance of Revers and dealers. However, the favorite stylistics of the sixties Polska Radio One is not limited-in their songs you can hear the echoes of the Riva of the 90s, the Kraut of the 70s, the Shugais of the 80s. In other words, varieties of “wrapped” music over the past 60 years. The first notes of the group appeared in December last year. By the fall of 2013, the quartet has grown to the debut album. "VKontakte" news about the release of the debut of Polska Radio One shaved more than 400 people. Now the group is negotiating about the publication of this album with one of the New York labels.

In Yekaterinburg, there are essentially psychedelic groups. In the same basket with Pro , there is only a Gothic-naughty project Sky Fades Away . Not a single real Western group playing in a similar style was in the capital of the Urals. Polska Radio One participants heard only notes. Kutnyakov calls three records that he would dream of making himself: The Byrds - “The Notorious Byrd Brothers” , Spacemen 3 - “Playing with Fire” and Beastie Boys - “Paul's Boutique” .

“The first year we played constantly, then there, then, almost every week,” says Dmitry Kutnyakov. “Then they gradually slowed down and now in Yekaterinburg we play quite rarely-four to five times a year.” The group decided to check the other cities - the day after the interview, she drove off on the first round lasting three weeks: “We are called constantly and everywhere. In November, in particular, the Pro will perform at the 12th St. Petersburg festival "Noise and whores", which is now uniting, probably, the most prominent underground groups of Shugais, garage rock, psychedelia and embosses. Listening to the notes of the participating groups, you come to the conclusion that most Russian admirers of Sid Barrett play primarily for themselves and madness in their tracks-not from a great mind, but from the inability to play together. Polska Radio One sound very good in the recording, without the exploitation of the stylistics of a deliberately careless approach to the sound, which in Russia for some reason is called Low Faure. This music can be evaluated without breaking through the next verbose concept. By the way, the 1960s clearly influenced the sound of the Yekaterinburg residents, but Dmitry Kutnyakov states that he does not want associations of his group with a hippy era: “Maybe they would fly a week by car for a week. We look back at the past, but look forward. "

In the spring of this year, Pro became even closer to the local listener and changed the language of songs. “We decided that we would be better to sing in our native language than in unimportant English,” says Dmitry. “I generally think that the English groups in Russia will soon leave, the rock in Russian will be in fashion again.” Therefore, the debut album of the group sounds in a completely new way.

In the studio Polska Radio One, they add songs from short jams based on the material invented by Kutnikov, and at concerts of the listener is waiting for more improvisation: “We have generally recorded things live in general are difficult to play.
