Banksy paints New York

This week, graffiti of the British street artist Banksy appeared in different places of New York.

On October 1, the first work of Banksy was discovered in Chinatown - a boy standing on the back of another and trying to reach the plate, which says “graffiti is a crime”. According to ITAR-TASS , the picture remained on the wall of the house for only a few hours, after which it was painted with white paint.

The next day, Graffiti Banksy appeared in another area of ​​Manhattan. This was an inscription of two parts. The first, written in font, popular among local street artists, read: "This is my New York accent." The second, bred in printed letters: "... I usually write like this."

The New York action of Banksy, which he announced on his website , is called “better outside than inside” ( “Better out than in” ). The site also provides the statement of the field of Cezanne, revealing the meaning of this name: "Pictures written in the workshop will never be as good as those created outside its borders."

Under each of the works of Banksi, the phone number is written. Having gained it, you can listen to a short audio recording that tells about work and explains its meaning for free. How long will the show last and in what places graffiti will appear is unknown. The last time Banksy's paintings were seen in New York in 2010.
