The telecommunications holding Garsdale, controlled by USM Holdings of Alisher Usmanov (No. 1 on the list of the richest businessmen in Russia, net worth $17.6 billion), bought back 13.5% of its capital from the owners of the Telconet Capital fund Albert Avdolyan (No. 143 on the Forbes list, net worth $0.7 billion) and Sergei Adonyev (No. 144, $0.7 billion), the Prime agency reported , citing a USM message.

As a result of the transaction, Telconet left Garsdale and USM's share in the holding increased proportionally to 95.5%. Another 4.5% remains with the Rostec state corporation.

The transaction amount was not disclosed in the USM message. But a representative of the holding told the agency that the deal was for money.

Adonyev and Avdolyan own Telconet Capital in half. Together they founded Scartela (Yota brand). In July 2012, Usmanov and Telconet announced a merger of assets into the Garsdale Services Investment holding. Usmanov contributed 50% + 1 share of Megafon, and Avdolyan and Adonyev contributed to Scartel.

The Garsdale holding owns 50% plus 100 shares of Megafon and 100% of Scartel. On Wednesday, Megafon announced the closing of the transaction to acquire 100% of Scartel LLC (Yota) from the controlling shareholder of Megafon, Garsdale Services Investment Limited. The total transaction amount was $1.18 million, excluding Scartel's net debt of $566 million.

In August, the Vedomosti newspaper, citing sources, wrote that Avdolyan and Adonyev, after selling the company to Megafon, would also get rid of their stake in Garsdale. According to the publication, Garsdale may become the buyer of the package.
