The first vice-governor of the Sverdlovsk region lost his post due to the victory of Roizman

The first vice-governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Alexei Bagaryakov, resigned, reports Interfax. As the official himself explained to the agency, its reason was the failure of the party in power in the recent elections in the region, in particular in the elections of the mayor of Yekaterinburg, which was won by the candidate from the "Civil Platform" Evgeny Roizman.

“I was one of the main figures in the last September elections, including the election of the head of Yekaterinburg,” Bagaryakov said. “Since the election results can hardly be satisfactory, I believe that I should be responsible for this.”

The official, however, added that it remains in the personnel reserve of Governor Yevgeny Kuyvashev.

Roizman was approved at a meeting of the Yekaterinburg City Duma on September 24. The deputies from Fair Russia and the Party of Pensioners boycotted the meeting, breaking the quorum, after which they challenged the statement of Roizman in court. On Tuesday, the prosecutor's office recognized the decision of the City Duma illegitimate. However, on Thursday, the Leninsky district court of Yekaterinburg refused the deputies in their lawsuit .
