The Ministry of Regional Development wants to tighten the rules for issuing land plots to large families

The Ministry of Regional Development proposes to change the approach to the issuance of land for large families. It is necessary to introduce a criterion for need and limit the possibility of resale, said the deputy minister of regional development Sergey Vakhrukov.

Vakhrukov recalled that in Russia there are more than a million large families, of which 289 thousand turned and registered for free land plots, 119 thousand received such plots, RIA Novosti reports.

"We propose to slightly change the approach to the allocation of these land plots. Firstly, we have more than 400 thousand families in need, and we have provided land not always in need. Accordingly, we would really like to introduce a criterion for the need to provide land for large families," he said.

Vakhrukov also emphasized that it is fundamentally important that these sites do not fall at the low price of the secondary market. "And they are resold. And land plots actually for budget money, partially provided with infrastructure, become the subject of bargaining, and not the subject of the construction of large families. Here we need to limit the possibility of further resale of these land plots," the deputy minister of regional development said.
