On October 18, in the Moscow Center for Contemporary Art “Vincuvod”, the Sochi Project exhibition of the Dutch photographer Rob Hornstra and writer Arnold Van Brugenna will open. The author of the photographs, however, will not get to the exhibition - the Russian authorities refused Hornust in the entrance visa.

Hornstra and Van Brugenn are the authors of the Book of War and Tourism of the Caucasus, on which they began to work back in 2009. According to the authors of the authors, a large -scale Olympic construction - on the one hand, problems with human rights in Russia - on the other hand, forced the world to forget about the most important thing: that Sochi is in the Caucasus. Poverty, war, crime, just everyday life of people, their hospitality, cordiality, the ability to have fun ... faces, types, human stories. Abkhazia, North Ossetia, Georgia. All this is The Sochi Project and all this is the Caucasus.
However, in Russia it is not customary to think about ordinary people, construction is much more important. So there is nothing to a person with a camera to make a mistake near the regime objects ...
