© "Vita Nova"On Tuesday, October 8, in the Literary and Memorial Museum of F.M. Dostoevsky in St. Petersburg will open an exhibition “Cases and things. Daniil Harms and his entourage ”dedicated to Daniil Harms (1905-1942).
The exhibition will first present the poet’s personal belongings, not published by manuscripts, books from his library, photographs, as well as genuine materials related to the life and work of writers of his circle, including Alexander Vvedensky, Nikolai Oleinikov, Yakov Druskin, Konstantin Vaginov.
Among the exhibits are the suitcase belonging to the Harms, in which the poet’s numerous manuscripts, the 1938, radio receiver of the 1938, books and notes with his marginalia, several of the most important autographs of the works of Harms himself and his literary associates, including the autograph of Seri Tetradadi, were saved in the blockade winter of 1942. Vvedensky, unpublished texts of Vaginov, Oleinikov and others.
The exhibition was created mainly on the basis of private collections. A significant number of exhibits belongs to the Vita Nova publishing house, which is the main partner of the exhibition and released an illustrated catalog to it.
The exhibition "Cases and things: Daniil Harms and his environment" will last until November 5.
