The writer John Khmelevskaya died

In Warsaw, at the 82nd year of her life, the Polish writer John Khmelevskaya died, RIA Novosti reports. The novels in the genre of "female ironic detective" brought Khmelevskaya widespread popularity, including in Russia. The total circulation of her novels published in Poland exceeded 6 million copies.

Among the most famous works of Khmelevskaya - “What did the deceased say?”, “Stolen collection”, “all red”, “treasures”, “cure for love”. In total, she wrote more than 60 books. In many novels, Khmelevskaya starred films and television series.

The real name of the writer is Irena Barbara Kyun. In her youth, she studied at the architect and worked for some time in her specialty. The first novel by Khmelevskaya was published in 1964. She is a laureate of many literary awards.
