One of the leading photographic magazines of the world Foam , the brainchild of the same famous Dutch museum, in his new issue published a list of “new talents - 2013” and their portfolio. Catalonian Salvi Danes with a series shot in Moscow fell into it.
From Foam magazine:
“In a whole, almost typological photo series, Catalonets Salvi Danes addresses the deep internal experiences of Russians instead of the usual display of the current political situation in the country. He believes that the problems in the development of Russian society, dictated by history, political and social system, national character and even extreme climate, are the cause of the strongest sense of alienation among Russians.
Booking people in public transport on the other side of the glass, Salvi Danes emphasizes the insurmountable distance between them and us - a thin layer of black ice that shares us. The melancholy gaze of Muscovites enhances the feeling that they are locked in buses and trams, as in cells, and cannot change the destination. ”
