Today, October 9, a long list of applicants for the Moscow Observer Award was announced at a press conference in Moscow.

The Moscow Observer Award was established in March 2013 by the site of the Cultural Initiative project to encourage journalists and critics actively responding to the current events of the current literary life of Moscow and Russia as a whole and analyzing the development of modern poetry and prose.

The jury of the award includes poets and critics Kirill Kovalji, Leonid Kostyukov, Kirill Korchagin and Dmitry Kuzmin.

In the current season of the Moscow Observer, a special nomination is established - “The Best Article of the Jury Member”. The winner of the award in this nomination will be named at the awarding ceremony of the Laureate of the Moscow Observer Prize.

The short list of the prize will be announced by November 1. The winner will be awarded at the ceremony, which will be held in mid -November. The laureate will receive a monetary reward in the amount of 50,000 rubles. Four authors, included in the short list of bonuses, will receive 5,000 rubles each.
