The new Leninka building will cost 60 billion rubles

The construction of a new building for the Russian State Library (RGB) in the village of Kommunarka Novomoskovsky Administrative District of Moscow will cost more than 60 billion rubles.

This was reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the General Director of the RSL, Alexander Vislogo. Earlier, he denied the information that Lenin would be relocated from the center of the capital to the city of Troitsk. According to him, various options for the future fate of the library are discussed, but so far the decision has not been made.

Two options are considered: the construction of a new building for the RSL in the center of Moscow near the main building of the library and the option of moving to Kommunarka.

“The construction of an additional building here is approximately 15 billion rubles, and there (in Kommunarka) is for 60 billion. But this is without taking into account the move. The cost of the move procedure is measured in billions, ”said the Visly. In particular, for the move, it will be necessary to stick a mark on each book, each mark costs 15 rubles, and you will have to transport about 40 million volumes, so this procedure will cost 600 million rubles.
