Investigative Committee found drugs on board Greenpeace vessel

The Investigative Committee conducted a search on board the Greenpeace Arctic Sunrise. According to the Investigative Committee, during the inspection drugs were found and seized (presumably morphine and poppy straw), as well as equipment that "has a dual purpose" and "could be used not only for environmental purposes." The department announced its intention to conduct a forensic examination and establish the origin and purpose of the substances, and also warned that “it is obvious to the investigation that a number of defendants will be charged with committing other serious crimes.”
